Mr. Ali Azimullah of the Suriname Branch Passes Away (24th September 1999)

24th September 1999.
Dear Hazrat Ameer Sahib,
Assalaam Alaikum WRWB!

It is with great grief that I am informing you of the sad demise of Mr. Ali Azimullah at the age of 73 in the city of Gouda - Holland. Although residing in Paramaribo permanently, he was in Holland for the last two months for medical treatment, where he stayed with his daughter - Mrs. Y. Ilahibaks - in the city of Gouda.

A sincere Ahmadi up till his last breath, Mr. Azimullah has been an executive of the Suriname Ahmadiyya Jamaat (SIV) for a considerable time.

From 1942 up till his retirement in 1987 he served the Suriname Government in the Civil Service for 45 yrs. lastly in the Senior most capacity of Chief Exchequer of Direct Taxes at the Dept. of Finance in Paramaribo.

For his steadfastness, integrity and dedication in the civil service of his country he was decorated the Knighthood of the Suriname Palm by the President of the Republic.

Mr. Azimullah who was surpassed by his wife and two sons some time ago, now leaves behind two sons and two daughters, with grandchildren, as well as one great grand child.

Mr. Azimullah's remains will be flown to Paramaribo on Sunday 26th of Sept. and will be buried and Janaza performed the next day under spiritual guidance of our SIV Jamaat in that city.

INNA LILLAHE WA INNA ILAIHI RAAJIUUN.

May the ALMIGHTY ALLAH SWT grant him the choicest places in HIS heavenly abode and the bereft family necessary consolements and sabar (patience) with the loss of their beloved one, Ameen.
