Summary of Shahnah-e-Haq:

Published in 1888, ‘Shahnah-i-Haq’ was also written by Hazrat Mirza Sahib in refutation of the Arya beliefs. The reason for its writing were the nefarious activities of the Arya Samajists, especially those of Lekhram Peshawari who had come out with a book called ‘Takzeeb Baraheen-i-Ahmadiyya’ (The Contradiction of ‘Baraheen-i-Ahmadiyya’) in which he had not answered any of the arguments contained in ‘Baraheen-i-Ahmadiyya’ but had hurled abuses against the Holy Prophet Muhammad (on whom be peace and the blessings of Allah), and insulted him by contrasting him to the founder of the Arya Samaj, Pundit Dayanand, and making our Holy Prophet appear inferior to that man of low character. Following the publication of ‘Surma Chasham Arya’, the Arya Samajists, aided and abetted by Lekhram, prophesied the death of Hazrat Mirza Sahib and began to send him anonymous death threats. Hazrat Mirza Sahib, however, did not care a whit for their browbeating and addressed them in plain words saying:

‘O Aryas, do not try to frighten me with assassination. I am not the kind to be intimidated by your worthless threats. I will certainly expose your false beliefs and reveal the truth about your Vedas" (‘Shahnah-i-Haq’, p. 3, footnote).

Finally, the Aryas of Qadian with the help of Lekhram published a booklet called ‘Surma Chasham Arya ki Haqeeqat’ (The Reality of ‘Surma Chasham Arya’) in which they addressed Hazrat Mirza Sahib by name and after assailing Islam also attacked his person, thus forcing Hazrat Mirza Sahib to respond to them. ‘Shahnah-i-Haq’ was written in a very short time period of only four or five hours, but it answers all the allegations of the Aryas so comprehensively that it has been rightly named the ‘Chief Constable of Truth’, for falsehood is whipped by truth to such an extent in this book, that it is left with no place to stand.
