It
is with a sense of loss and sadness that we
announce herewith the sad demise of our dearly
brother Mr. Mohamed Soemaroedin Chand on Wednesday
19 March 2003. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi
raajiun. Born on the 31st of August 1931
in the Suriname district, Mr. Chand has served the
Surinam Government as Officer of the Tax Department
on several locations in the country. After his
migration to Holland in 1971 he settled down with
his family in the northern province of Groningen
where he was also assigned a post as Tax Officer.
In 1980 he moved to Rotterdam where he joined the
local Ahmadiyya jamaat as Secretary in the
executive team at that time headed by Mr. Abdul
Santoe. In succession Mr. Chand served also as
president for four more years after which he
retired also from the Tax department in Rotterdam.
Janaza and burial rites will be performed on
Saturday 22nd of March 2003 at the Rotterdam
Southern cemetary Slinge 50.
The Ahmadiyya community in
Holland will remember brother Chand as a sincere,
good natured and always good humoured personality.
May the Almighty ALLAH SWT grant the departed soul
eternal peace and HIS choicest blessings in HIS
heavenly abode. May HE also bestow necessary Sabr
and strength to the bereft family Mrs. Chand, five
married children and ten grand children. INNALLAAHA
