Message from Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Saeed Pasha Sahib, Ameer
and President of the Ahmadiyya Anjuman Isha'at-e-Islam
Lahore [Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement for the Propagation of
Islam], on the Occasion of Ramazan/Eid-ul-Fitr (5th
December 2002): Dear Members of the Jamaat, Assalaam-o-Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah-i-Wa Barakaatohu. The sacred and blessed month of Ramadan is about to end and we shall be celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr. I am sure that by the grace of Allah, all of you must have striven hard in His way in accordance with the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be on him. We belong to a Jamaat [Movement] whose prayers, whose sacrifices, whose life and whose death are all for Allah’s pleasure, the Lord of the worlds. At the end of this blessed month in which Allah opens the gates of heavens for the believers, let us pray: O Allah! make us worthy of this Jamaat and make us prove our worth. You be our Guardian and Helper and bless us to achieve the aims and objectives of this Jamaat. The Muslim Ummah is passing through a period of great anxiety and agitation. Calamities and pestilence are staring us in the face. O Allah! Have mercy on our Jamaat, the Muslim Ummah, and all those who inhabit this earth. Forgive our faults, transgressions and sins and take us into your merciful fold. I pray that Allah Taalah (the Exalted) favour us with the splendid graces of this blessed month; that He includes us amongst His chosen and favoured servants; that He blesses our lives and belongings; that He showers on us spiritual and temporal bounties and grants us the real happiness of Eid. On behalf of the Central Anjuman and on my own behalf I wish all the women, men and children associated with the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement the world over a very happy Eid. Wasslaam.
