[Verses 30 to 42]: Good and evil rewarded: 1. Translation: 31 From Pharaoh. Surely he was haughty, prodigal. 32 And certainly We chose them bove the nations, having knowledge. 33 And We gave them signs wherein was clear blessing. 35 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 36 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 37 Are they better or the people of Tubba,a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 38 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and that which is between them in sport. 39 We created them not but with truth, but most of them know not. 40 Surely the day of Decision is the term for them all, 41 The day when friend will avail friend in naught, nor will they be helped 42 Save those on whom Allah has mercy. Surely He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 2.
