18: 1. "Surely the first House appointed for men is the one at Makkah, blessed and a guidance for the nations........ And pilgrimage to the House is incumbent upon men for the sake of Allah, upon every one who is able to undertake the journey to it." (3 : 95, 96). 2. "The pilgrimage is performed in the well-known months; so whoever determines the performance of the pilgrimage therein, there shall be no amorous speech, nor abusing, nor disputing in the pilgrimage.......... and make provision." (2 : 197).
