> Summary of Shahaadut-ul-Quran Summary
of Shahaadut-ul-Quran: Published in 1893, Shahadat-ul-Quran ("Testimony of the Holy Quran") was written in response to a person named Ata Muhammad, who asked in his letter of August 1893 as to what evidence there was that Hazrat Mirza Sahib was indeed the Promised Messiah, or that it was necessary to await the appearance of any Messiah at all. The objector believed in the death of Jesus, as is plainly stated in the Holy Quran, and admitted that the prophecy of a second advent of Jesus was to be found in Hadith reports, but he considered all such reports to be worthless and insignificant. It was, therefore, necessary to reply to him in the light of his beliefs; the following three points needed to be addressed: Firstly, are the reports of the coming of the Promised Messiah, which are found in Hadith, to be considered unreliable because the contents of Hadith are far from the standard of absolute authenticity? Secondly, does the Holy Quran mention anything about this prophecy or not? Thirdly, if this prophecy is a proven fact, what is the proof that it is fulfilled in Hazrat Mirza Sahibs person? In Shahadat-ul-Quran, Hazrat Mirza Sahib has clearly established the truth of all these issues from verses of the Holy Quran and duly discussed each question in a wonderfully lucid and rational manner. The book is available for reading in both the original Urdu version and an English translation.
